Its deeply cut lobed palmate leaves are dark green in color. As an added bonus, the foliage turns a gorgeous antique red in the fall. Landscape Attributes St. Ola Cranesbill is an herbaceous evergreen perennial with a mounded form. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect. This plant will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should be cut back in late fall in preparation for winter. Deer don't particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats.
